About VerbalReasoning Practice
VerbalReasoningPractice is an independent practice site for adults preparing for job assessments. It is published and maintained by Alexander Torstensson, founder of Cognivy.
What we publish
The site provides verbal reasoning method guides, vocabulary resources, practice questions, diagnostics, drills and provider-style simulations. Its focus is narrow by design: help a candidate understand what a passage or set of premises actually supports, then show the evidence behind the answer.
We are not affiliated with SHL, Aon, Watson-Glaser, the UK Civil Service, the College of Policing or any other assessment provider or employer. Provider and employer names are used only to describe the format a candidate may encounter. Practice material is original and does not reproduce live test questions.
Who is responsible
Alexander Torstensson is responsible for the site’s editorial standards, product decisions and corrections. Naming editorial responsibility is not a claim that this is an official provider service or a substitute for advice from an occupational psychologist. Where a page describes a current provider or recruitment process, it links to the relevant primary source so readers can verify the claim and check for changes.
How answer quality is controlled
Questions begin with a structured answer specification, are solved without the intended answer, and are then attacked for ambiguity. A question is withheld if the intended answer cannot be confirmed uniquely. Accessible explanations identify the passage span, logical step or word relationship that decides the answer. The full process and its limits are set out on the verification methodology page.
Corrections and contact
Every served question includes a dispute route. For a factual correction, accessibility issue or other editorial concern, email hello@verbalreasoningpractice.com. Include the page URL and the claim you believe needs review. Material corrections are reviewed by a person and the page’s review date is updated when the published content changes.
